Doula Service
The role of a birth doula is as a supporter during birth - not to give opinions or advice but just to offer positive help and practical support according to the couple's needs.
If you would like me to support you during labour - either as your sole supporter or sharing the job with your partner or another birth supporter - then please contact me for a chat.
It is very important that a woman feels safe and comfortable with the people who are supporting her during birth so you will, at the very least, need meet me and see how you feel about me. Ideally we would need to have a discussion about how you would like your birth to be and what type of support you would like me to give you.
If at any time you change your mind about
having me with you during labour then there will not be a charge and you
will not need to give any explanation.
Due family and work commitments I cannot completely guarantee to be 'on call' but I will try my utmost to be available when you need me.
Since it is impossible to predict how long a birth will take (and therefore unfair to charge an hourly rate) I charge a fixed fee of kr 1000 for this service.
